Bosch in North America
Having established a regional presence in 1906 in North America, the Bosch Group employs some 32,500 associates in more than 100 locations, as of December 31, 2016. According to preliminary figures, in 2016 Bosch generated consolidated sales of $13.7 billion in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The Bosch Community Fund
The Bosch Community Fund, a U.S.-based foundation established in September 2011, has awarded more than $12 million in grants to various 501(c)(3) organizations and educational institutions in Bosch site communities throughout the U.S. Our focus areas are: science, technology, engineering and math STEM education; environmental sustainability, eco+STEM and disaster relief. We strongly encourage grants that support: project-based learning, diversity and inclusion, teacher efficacy, and collaboration.
Bosch has a unique approach to community engagement and philanthropic investments. The Bosch Community Fund staff convenes advisory committees in its major US site communities. These meetings are designed to engage stakeholders to understand the most pressing issues affecting communities and how we might best deploy grant investments for maximum impact.

Ninety-two percent of the share capital of Robert Bosch GmbH is held by Robert Bosch Stiftung GmbH, a charitable foundation. The majority of voting rights are held by Robert Bosch Industrietreuhand KG, an industrial trust. The entrepreneurial ownership functions are carried out by the trust. The remaining shares are held by the Bosch family and by Robert Bosch GmbH.
